US Banks Experience a Vishing Crisis
Damages and Losses Caused by Vishing
PhishLabs,
a cybercrime intelligence firm, recently investigated dozens of vishing
attacks towards midsized US banks, occurring between October 2013 and
April 2014. Vishing, otherwise known as VoIP phishing, is a form of
fraud in which an attacker poses as a credible source to draw
confidential or sensitive information from an individual over the phone.
