How Does Least Cost Routing Work?

Least Cost Routing

Carriers use Least Cost Routing (LCR) to
search for and establish cheap call paths in specific geographical
areas. In other words, it is the process of selecting inexpensive routes
outside of a provider’s network reach. Depending on the service, a
provider may setup software to automate LCR, but in most traditional
cases, a dedicated telecoms team finds and controls said routes
manually.
